Hi Bruce - thank you for this deep dive into the BBB. As always, the devil is in the details.
IMHO, the hoops & hurdles in this draconian new bill are deliberately intended to make life even more difficult for those already struggling with adversity, frailty/illness, poverty and the vagaries of “life” in general, while throwing even more $$$ at the most privileged among us. It’s unjust and, if I may say so . . . immoral.
These are dark times, indeed. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
As I’ve said often, learning the hard way is sometimes the only way. Maybe that will happen. The last two audio clips in the essay tell a tale that seems patently obvious to anyone except those who need its wisdom most:
1) Bernie Sanders noting the disparity and rank unfairness of dolling out billions in tax cuts to those who hardly need it (nor likely wouldn’t use it for anything other than selfish purpose) and the hundreds of billions in care denied to those who need it most because they have no other means to get it.
2) the montage of lawmakers protesting regulations and paperwork that would hinder a businessman’s access to prosperity, yet seem to have no problem creating such roadblocks when it comes to the poor. The hypocrisy stinks to high Heaven.
Both examples seem as plain as day, yet anyone pointing it out is made out to be a villain.

As always, thanks for your comment. Stay well.
